PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The visible surface of the interface—without switching circuitry.

A graphic overlay is the printed front surface of an equipment interface. It can identify controls, protect the underlying panel and provide windows, cut-outs or embossed areas while remaining separate from the electronic switching circuit.

The overlay needs to match the enclosure, display openings, control positions, viewing requirements and expected handling. Artwork and mechanical details are therefore reviewed together before a prototype is produced.

Project boundary

A graphic overlay page describes the printed fascia itself. Membrane switch circuits, electronic controls and complete enclosures are separate project elements unless they are included in an agreed assembly scope.

CUSTOMISATION SCOPE

Options organised around the application.

Only the options relevant to the equipment and agreed project scope are carried into the proposed construction.

Base material

Polyester or polycarbonate constructions can be considered according to the project requirements.

Printing and colour

Custom legends, brand colours, symbols, warning marks and operating instructions.

Display windows

Clear, tinted or filtered window areas coordinated with the display and viewing conditions.

Surface and texture

Gloss, matte and selective surface treatments can be evaluated for appearance and handling.

Embossing and cut-outs

Raised keys, formed features, holes and precision openings matched to the control panel.

Adhesive backing

Adhesive pattern and liner arrangement selected around the substrate and mounting geometry.

STARTING INFORMATION

You do not need every answer before contacting us. Send what is available and the missing items can be identified during clarification.

Panel drawing

Overall dimensions, cut-outs, hole locations, radii and tolerance-critical areas.

Artwork file

Logos, legends, colours, symbols and required print hierarchy.

Mounting surface

Substrate material, shape and any areas where adhesive must be excluded.

Use conditions

Cleaning, handling, viewing and environment information relevant to material selection.

APPLICATIONS

Examples of where this product family may be evaluated.

Suitability depends on the final construction, equipment interface and customer validation.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Useful boundaries before quotation.

What is the difference between an overlay and a membrane switch?

An overlay is the printed fascia. A membrane switch adds switching and circuit layers beneath the graphic surface.

Can the overlay include display windows and holes?

Yes. Window areas, cut-outs and embossing can be coordinated with the panel drawing and artwork.

Can you match an existing panel?

An existing sample, drawing or high-quality reference can be reviewed. Colour and fit still need to be approved through the project sampling process.
